A Bit About Me.

I am a traveler, photographer, entrepreneur, and consummate people person. A Californian through and through, I was born in urban Oakland and raised in coastal Half Moon Bay; I now reside in Oakland with my husband, Sam.

Travel and photography are the two things about which I am most passionate. It’s about the experience more than the numbers, but I have been to 45+ countries and 26 U.S. states.

Obsessed with the wild outdoors, I spend time in the Eastern Sierra and elsewhere backpacking and camping every year. In 2015, I solo hiked all 220 miles of the John Muir Trail and have since returned to the Sierra every year to criss cross our spectacular state on foot as much as possible.

In 2024 I finished writing and editing a literary fiction manuscript that I am currently querying. Since 2021, I have read 100+ books a year: Literary, contemporary, upmarket, historical fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, romance, and anything else with an interesting hook.

I run half marathons (slowly) and ride my bicycle around town as much as I can. I practiced martial arts from age 5-18 and have a second degree black belt. I have competed on a national level as well as taught.

I spent ten years using ceramics as an outlet for my creativity though I am currently on hiatus. I love art and performance as well as science. I also love to cook, bake, eat, and feed my friends.

The world is endlessly interesting and awe inspiring and I hope to spend the rest of my life pursuing life with creativity, curiosity, kindness, and courage.
