Neighborhood Friends Social Club
In February 2024 I gathered a group of strangers for a sunny picnic in the park near my house and created one of the best things in my life.
The Neighborhood Friends Social Club is a group of over forty women who live locally and get together multiple times a month just to hang out.
We have picnics, go on walks and hikes, go out to shows/movies/museums, go on camping and backpacking trips, craft, have potlucks, volunteer, and so much more. We even have a book club that meets about once a month!
Can friendship be a part of your CV? I don’t know, but this endeavor took a lot of effort, brought a lot of people together, and has been well worth the effort. It is a celebration of friendship and a reminder that community can always be created with a little bit of effort and a whole lot of joy.
